during my PhS-scolarship, I participated in the national project "Globalität und Interkulturalität als integrale Bestandteile einer Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (GINE)" funded by the BMBF.
Objectives of this project were to explore
what research should be conducted to integrate globality, interculturality as part of Education for sustainable development into initial education in VET.
Afterwards, I was involved in the Leonardo Partnerships project "Renewable Energy Solutions" (RES).
Since November 2010, I work as a training representative for Arbeit und Leben Hamburg. Our Project is funded by the ESF regional fund and is closely linked to the "Qualifizierungsoffensive Luftfahrt", a program to promote education and qualification for the aerospace industry of Hamburg. In the past, Arbeit und Leben was responsible to organise international exchange visits of apprentices, teachers, trainers and employees in the aerospace industry. Being still an important part of our work in the network, our work now also includes network development (local, national and international) between universties and insitutes engaged in education and research for this sector. One of the goal of this networking activities is to foster the internationalisation of academic aerospace education and research. This includes international internships for bachelor and master graduates and the support of student mobility. My tasks in this project is mainly to support the university network. This includes the support of graduates who want to do internships in a foreign country and the support of universities who want to strenghten their ties to foreign universities which are engaged in similar research fields.
